I have chosen the Organic form for my poetic form.

I plan to research George Oppen. The poems I am going to be reviewing are “The Forms of Love” and “Street”, both by George Oppen.

My two influential ideas are: Forms Constrain and Forms Differ

My Podcast Format: I think I am either going to choose the solo/monologue podcast format or my own podcast format.

Two resources I have found are: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poets/george-oppen -this is an overview of George Oppen and his life/work.

and, https://www.poetryfoundation.org/articles/69392/some-notes-on-organic-form-56d249032078f-this is about the organic form itself.

Some potential questions:

How does this form differ from others with its concept of it “occurring naturally”?

How is the “organicness” that is described in Organic form used to create works of art, such as poetry?

How is the metaphor of nature (to describe the organic form) used throughout the poetry?/used by the writer themselves?

How does the “experience” that is required before writing in the organic form different from other forms of poetry? What makes this one so special?

How does the thought of experience relate to English writing/creative writing/writing stories?

What I want my audience to learn:

I want them to understand how there are all kinds of different forms of poetry and by learning to understand them, one can then more greatly appreciate the process the poet takes in writing the poem.

Specifically in the organic form how experiences are used to convey the purpose of the poem and get the writer to write about real-life experiences, similarly in other kinds of writing.
